ANYONE who becomes a Chamber member at any level also has the opportunity to become a member of the Chamber’s “Committee of 100”.

Designed to give back to the service members who defend our freedoms, The Committee of 100 is a group of Chamber of Commerce members who, for an additional $100 per year, essentially become part of the “Welcome Wagon” of Altus for new residents in town, and specifically newcomers to Altus Airforce Base.

The money raised through membership fees goes toward one of the several annual events the Committee holds each year to welcome people to Altus, and to show newcomers to AAFB what Altus is all about.

Events include receptions, dinners, and outdoor activities that are fun for the whole family. This is just one way our Chamber can say “thank you” for all those service members do for us and to make them feel at home in Altus, America. This is a small investment with a HUGE return!

2024 will mark the 40th year since the Committee of 100 began, and rates have never gone up. Whether you choose to join our planning committee, volunteer to help at the events, or simply just provide the once/annually $100 donation to help fund the events, your contribution to the cause is invaluable.

• Discounts on health insurance group plans for businesses with 50 or fewer employees. (*Approx. savings of 20% annually through Aetna, with policies comparable to similar coverage through BCBS. The Chamber can provide a link to show that most PCPs are in-network in Altus and surrounding towns in southwest Oklahoma.)
• Altus Approved Campaign – All business members become “Altus Approved” when they join The Chamber, and we promote and market all member's sales, promotions, and events. The Chamber encourages all residents and visitors to shop locally, which provides jobs for our family and friends and keeps our dollars spent locally. This increases sales and revenue for our members! · Be included in our online business directory
• Enjoy your complimentary ribbon-cutting ceremony to promote your business and announce your opening to our community. These events are held for all new members, major remodels, new ownership, business re-locations, and re-grand openings. Includes an official membership certificate.
• Reach a larger target audience by advertising promotions on our social media pages (Facebook, TikTok, and Instagram) and our Chamber Bulletin Board
• Have a consistent presence in our community by serving as a Chamber Ambassador through our complimentary Ambassador’s Program
