Network Like a Pro
These events are also an opportunity to introduce your business! Wear your name tag, bring your energy, and connect with newcomers. Even a small hello goes a long way.
These events don’t happen without hands-on help, and that’s where you come in! Whether you're a business representative or an individual Committee of 100 member, there’s always a role you can step into to make our welcome events successful, smooth, and special for newcomers.
Assist with plating and serving the food provided by the Committee of 100
Refill drink stations and monitor tableware supplies
Make sure everyone gets a warm welcome and a full plate
Help set up tables, signage, and decorations before each event
Add personal touches that make newcomers feel at home
Pitch in with the tear-down at the end to keep the cleanup light
Set out chairs, trash bins, and signage before guests arrive
Stay after to break down tables, take out trash, and reset the space
Take candid photos during the event to capture the memories
Help run a simple photo booth or welcome wall setup
Snap photos of newcomers with their welcome gifts
Hand out gift bags, door prizes, or name tags
Collect raffle tickets and make announcements during drawings
Organize and prep materials ahead of time
Be a friendly face who introduces themselves to newcomers
Help guests feel comfortable and introduce them to others
Assist with check-in and guide people through the event layout
Join a subcommittee to brainstorm future event ideas
Offer feedback on past events at our Appreciation Night in March
Help recruit future volunteers or business support
Whether you’re helping before, during, or after the event, your time, presence, and teamwork make a difference. These events are only possible because of volunteers like you.
Remember, many hands make light work.
Already a Committee of 100 member but want to go a little further? We welcome extra donations to help make our events even better.
Some of our welcome events come with additional costs, like:
Liability insurance
Permit fees
Equipment rentals
Printing materials
Unexpected last-minute needs
If you'd like to give above your $100 membership, you can donate items or funds to support our mission. Every bit helps us stretch our resources and serve our newcomers with excellence.
