Lieutenant Governor Matt Pinnell Visits Altus for Workforce Round Table Discussion
On August 7th, the Altus Chamber of Commerce had the honor of hosting Lieutenant Governor Matt Pinnell as part of his ongoing Oklahoma Workforce Tour. The day was marked by an engaging and productive round table discussion, where local leaders and small business owners gathered to address key issues impacting the workforce in Altus and Southwest Oklahoma.
During the meeting, participants presented Lieutenant Governor Pinnell with a range of topics that are crucial to the continued growth and development of our community. Issues such as childcare, education, housing, and infrastructure were at the forefront of the conversation, reflecting the community’s commitment to fostering a thriving workforce.
In recent years, Altus has made significant investments in housing and infrastructure, with numerous homes and apartment complexes built to meet the demands of our expanding workforce. This progress is a testament to the city’s dedication to supporting its residents and attracting new talent to the area.
Lieutenant Governor Pinnell’s visit provided a valuable opportunity for our community leaders to share their insights and ensure that the needs of Altus are kept top-of-mind at both the state and federal levels.
