Working as the hands and feet of Jesus Christ

Even though we work on projects all year long, we have two days of service where the community comes together and tackles multiple projects as a body of Christ.  We partner with the Jackson County Ministerial Alliance to bring together a diverse group of people to help homeowners in the city of Altus, OK. 

We are proud to provide homeowners with access to a multitude of home repair and property improvement services. Nehemiah Initiative analyzes request for help and prioritizes work on the basis of need, resources required, funds required, and people needed to do the job.  We are an all volunteer organization without paid staff.  The Big Day of Service is a culmination of coordination bringing the community together to help homeowners.
