Ambassador Program – You have the opportunity to serve as an ambassador to support our community by representing The Chamber at local networking events and Ribbon Cutting Ceremonies to help promote new, local businesses. As a Chamber Ambassador, you can also teach our youth the importance of civic duty and volunteering in our community.
Committee of 100 – As a Chamber member, you have the option to add an additional $100 to your membership dues and become a part of the Committee of 100. This committee was formed by the Chamber about 40 years ago, and its purpose is primarily to support the Altus Air Force Base, and foster a relationship between them and our community. We hold several events each year to welcome newcomers to our town and to show appreciation to our military. These events also allow us to give new Altus residents and AAFB a taste of what Altus is all about! As a Committee of 100 member, you are able to not only contribute financially to this great cause but also serve as a volunteer on our committee or for any of our annual events.
Jr. Ambassadors Program - We are also implementing educational programs to help prepare our youth for their future. Whether they are college-bound, or entering the workforce upon graduation from high school, you can help us build a better job applicant pool by preparing our youth with the knowledge and skill sets needed to become productive citizens in our community. There are also opportunities to volunteer in any of our programs that promote Altus and its businesses, our Air Force Base, and our community.
We allow individual members to have a voice and to understand the infrastructure needs and political issues facing our community.
At Altus Chamber of Commerce, we proudly endorse "Altus Approved," a program that bolsters our business members. This initiative encompasses campaigns such as Bargain Blizzard Days, Crazy Days, Christmas Open House, and more designed to encourage local shopping. Additionally, we actively support Altus Main Street's "The 12 Days of Christmas" campaign, which promotes local businesses and ensures that our dollars stay within Altus.
We emphasize the significance of "Altus Approved" and its role in our community. This campaign educates individuals about the positive impact of shopping locally with our members. It creates job opportunities for our friends and family and contributes essential sales tax revenue to our city, aiding our local businesses in supporting charitable causes in Altus.

If you operate an online store, customers can shop through a direct link on our website. Like the Yellow Pages, our Chamber Directory is your go-to resource when seeking service providers or retail businesses.
We conduct ribbon-cutting ceremonies for new businesses, major renovations, changes in ownership, and business relocations. Our Chamber collaborates closely with The City of Altus Economic Development Corporation and The City of Altus Parks and Recreation Department, participating in promotional activities and events that draw people to our community, benefiting our retail sector.
